CUREO5: Plan faster and more precisely, manage centrally, and treat more effectively

With CUREO5, CUREosity launches the most comprehensive update of its Virtual Reality therapy software to date. The goal is to support therapists in clinics and practices even more effectively with new functions, centralized data management, and practical tools that simplify everyday therapy routines.

A milestone in digital therapy

“We continuously advance CUREO to provide therapists with the best possible support in their daily work. With CUREO5, we have implemented many requests from clinical practice, enabling simpler planning, clearer workflows, and even better connectivity in day-to-day therapy,” explains Caesar van Heyningen, CEO of CUREosity.

Thanks to smart new features such as the Therapy Navigator, planning and conducting therapy has become even easier and faster.

What’s new in CUREO5

CUREO5 combines innovative technology with practical functionality. The update introduces three key components: the Therapy Navigator, the CUREO HUB, and the CUREO CENTER. The Therapy Navigator simplifies digital therapy planning. After selecting a therapy goal, it automatically suggests suitable modules and settings, creating patient-specific VR therapy plans within minutes without searching or technical hurdles. The CUREO HUB acts as a secure online platform and central control center for therapy. All patient, therapy, and device data are automatically synchronized, safely stored, and accessible from any internet-enabled device. The CUREO CENTER provides direct access to training materials, tutorials, and professional knowledge. This allows users to stay up to date and integrate new content and features into their daily work.

Expanded modules and new features

User feedback from clinics and practices played an important role in developing CUREO5. A major focus was expanding the Hand Module, which now includes additional functions for precise gripping and force control. This enables even more targeted support for fine motor skills and coordination. Further updates include new options within mirror therapy, now fully integrated into therapy planning, CUREO GROUP+1 for using the group system in individual mode, and Passthrough, which allows direct eye contact between therapist and patient during VR sessions.

The CUREO HUB brings all information together in one place, creating more time for what truly matters: working with patients.

Virtual Reality for modern rehabilitation

CUREO combines neuroscience with gamification to make therapy engaging and motivating. With more than 50 VR-based training modules, CUREO supports motor, cognitive, and perceptual rehabilitation and can be used flexibly in occupational therapy, physical therapy, and neuropsychology. Therapists benefit from clear structures and flexible applications, whether in individual, parallel, or group therapy. Patients train actively and with high motivation, while professionals can focus on what matters most: therapeutic success.

Availability and outlook

The CUREO5 software update is now available. Existing customers are being informed about the update, and new customers automatically receive the latest version with purchase. Stefan Arand, CTO of CUREosity, summarizes: “CUREO5 connects all areas of therapy. Planning, execution, documentation, and knowledge now work together more seamlessly than ever, creating greater efficiency and transparency in everyday therapeutic work.” With CUREO5, Virtual Reality therapy becomes even more efficient, effective, and versatile, marking another step toward modern digital rehabilitation.
